Getting in touch with my We(s)t Coast past

After being off dairy products for several months there's only one thing that I really miss: yogurt. It used to be my standard breakfast, and I had several fave recipes that called for it. But the last time I had some... yeeeah, no go. But while browsing for recipes this morning I came across a great Indian dish with a yogurt-based sauce, and I just have to try it. Plain soy yogurt seems like an obvious substitution, but the commercial brands that I get here tend to be a bit sweet (ewww) so I decided to make some myself. I headed over to the local granola hut for some fixings (plain, unsweetened soy milk and freeze dried bacteria -- yum!), put on some lilithesque music to set the mood, and voila -- only 12-15 more hours and it'll be ready! Unfortunately that'll be some time after midnight, so I'll probably have to set the alarm for this. I'll report back maƱana.
